(Girls on) Tour De France

Every summer I spend a few weeks in the south of France, and as with all little french towns there is weekly market that I always go to. When I was younger the best thing about the market was the jewellery and cheap clothes, but now I appreciate the it in a whole new light!

It is truly a feast for all the senses and a hearty introduction to authentic Provencal cuisine...
Simply put, it is an excuse to sample all kinds of delicious local produce!

The trouble is that once I'd tried something I just couldn't resist buying it! There were so many really delicious and original delicacies.

As I've already mentioned, I was recently there on a girls holiday with all my old school friends. I wish I could have brought back a mountain of this stuff to spread the joy, but unfortunately the best I can do is share some of my pictures. Unfortunately, pretty quickly my hands were so full of my new purchases that I soon gave up taking pictures and just dug straight in!

Never happier than when I'm weighed down with food !

Caught red-handed going back for more cheese!

A bunch of hungry girls on a mission!

Pitt Cue Co.

Whilst strolling along the Southbank the other weekend I was drawn in by the sizzling smokey aroma eminating from none other than Pitt Cue Co.'s trailer. As soon as I saw them being so lovingly prepared into all their towering glory I knew I had to have one!
The combination of BBQ mayo, hot sauce, green chili slaw, vinegar slaw & pickle, all sandwiched between a toasted brioche bun, with not one but TWO layers of melt in the mouth pulled pork... Well it's just sensational!! The friendly staff were actually laughing at me as I gawped in awe!
It was so delicious that I forgot to stop long enough to take a picture before I was already half way through! Anyway, the moral of the story is that if you come across the Pitt Cue Trailer, stop and eat, or else head over to 1 Newburgh Street, Soho, to eat at their little 30 seater restaurant.
